Pensacola’s Celebrity Chefs are creating an historic culinary affair to honor the city’s 450th anniversary. Guests will be treated to five courses reflecting the five flags that have flown over Pensacola at the Five Chefs, Five Flags dinner to be held Sunday, on Sept. 28 at Jackson’s restaurant. Chefs Irv Miller of Jackson’s, Jim Shirley of the Fish House, Gus Silivos of Skopelos on the Bay, Frank Taylor of Global Grill and Dan Dunn of H2O at the Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front each will show off their skills by creating a unique dish influenced by Spain, France, Britain, the Confederacy and the United States. Pensacola Celebrity Chefs also will host a recipe contest to collect historic, family recipes indigenous to Pensacola. Local residents with the most unique recipes and family history will be honored with an apprenticeship the evening of the Five Chefs, Five Flags event. In addition, winners will be asked to participate in a special 450th anniversary event in 2009. If you’re interested, please send us your recipes or post them here. askthechef@pensacolacelebritychefs.com For details, visit www.PensacolaCelebrityChefs.com. back to www.VisitPensacola.com | |
