Scenic Cycling

With sunny skies and 70 degree weather, fall is the perfect time for cycling in the Pensacola Bay Area. Gulf Islands National Seashore offers miles of scenic biking trails where you just might catch a glimpse of migrating butterflies and birds. Perdido Key Road offers a 5-mile round trip course, and on Pensacola Beach at Portofino, an 8-mile course winds along the water amidst sand dunes. For those more adventurous, try the 4-mile mountain bike trail at the University of West Florida or Fort Pickens Road, but note that some of the 7-mile trek is through sand.
