In the nation’s oldest settlement, you’re bound to be haunted by the past. Visit several historic sites around town for frights and fun while learning about the city’s 450–year–old history.

Join the Pensacola Historical Society on a ghost tour June 26–27, July 24–25 or August 21–22. Families can opt for the Seville Tour, while adults may want to check out the spicy Redlight Tour. Tours are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. The tours run every 30 minutes between 7 and 8:30 p.m and start from 115 E. Zaragosa St.

Aboard NAS Pensacola, both Fort Barrancas and the Pensacola Lighthouse are said to be haunted. Explore the dark tunnels of Fort Barrancas in search of the spirits of Confederate soldiers. On Saturdays, climb to the top of the 160–foot lighthouse for a chance to see Jeremiah Ingram, former light keeper, who still wanders through the quarters.

In Downtown Pensacola, St. Michaels Cemetery is the burial ground for more than 3,000 lives spanning the centuries. The cemetery is considered the oldest in Florida.
