The weekend of Oct. 2, enjoy original music and fine art and wine at two events on Pensacola Beach. The beach’s first ever songwriters festival is Oct. 2-4. Hear some of your favorite songs straight from the writer’s mouth, including George Cummings, songwriter for Stevie Ray Vaughn; Jim Pasquale, songwriter for Ray Charles; Lisa Carver, songwriter for Jewel, Sugarland and Willie Nelson; and Jim McBride, CMA award-winning songwriter for Alan Jackson and Johnny Cash. Artists will perform at The Paradise Bar and Grill, The Sand Shaker, The Sabine Sand Bar and Lillo’s.

Oct. 3 and 4 is Art and Wine Weekend. Enjoy free tastings of diverse and flavorful wines along with art demonstrations such as jewelry making and tiki carving. Kids will also be entertained with their own activities and projects in the Island Kids’ Kiosk.
